Marcia Brown

 

Marcia is a visual artist based in Leeds and has worked in adult and community education for over 10 years. She is a multi-disciplined artist and qualified Arts Tutor (P.G.C.E).She has experience of working with a range of art forms and has skills in mask making, painting. drawing, printmaking, murals, collage, light relief sculpture and digital art (Photoshop).

She has experience of devising and delivering workshops with people from different cultures, communities and backgrounds. For example: refugees; learning disabled; looked after children and young people that have been excluded from mainstream school. She has worked with ages from pre-school to over 55’s.She specialises in issue based and fun workshops linked either to the school curriculum, gallery, museum collections, festivals and community events and family learning. Recently worked with the St Ives Collection at York Art Gallery delivering painting, drawing and collage workshops with young children and their families.
